Reminder Mother’s Day Tea! May 6th 9:30-11:30
Theme: This week the themes will be based on the letter ‘Yy’. In Spanish ‘y’ sounds like a soft ‘j’ in English. ‘Yy’ is for:
Yo-I
La yema-egg yoke
El yogurt
El yoyo
La yegua-mare
Reading Readiness Focus:
This week students will focus on the letter ‘Yy’.
M. Dora’s class will identify and match lower case to capital and isolate its sound.
M. Bertha’s class will be working on printing capital and lower case in addition to the above.
Math:
Students will review numbers 1-10.
Science and Nutrition:
Students will be boiling eggs and sampling the “yema” (yolk) and they will be preparing yogurt with fresh fruit.

Songs: “Yo Soy Especial”, “A la Una Yo Nací”
