I’m better known as Maestra Cathy here at Centro Armonia, since I began in 2014. I was born and raised in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico where I
have obtained most of my education, part of which is a vocational degree as a hairstylist. I resumed my education in the United States at De Anza College in the field of child development.
What I like most about working with young children is being part of their social and academic development. By doing this I am helping to building a solid foundation, where they can enjoy a bright future as happy, contributing members of our society. In the time that I’ve been working at Centro Armonia, I get most excited about the techniques, the fun exercises and activities that we use to teach the students a second language. Spanish is such a global language and using language a means for children to expand their understanding and cultivate their love of the world and its
many cultures is very satisfying to me.
In my personal time, I love to spend time with my family, chatting about anything and everything. We also love to travel and have created many wonderful memories together.
